Final Month For Wildlife Forever Songbird Art Contest

White Bear Lake, MN- The deadline to enter Wildlife Forever’s 2021 Songbird Art Contest is November 30th. The new Art of Conservation Program is open to all youth in kindergarten to 12th grade and is a great activity for students to learn about bird conservation.

To compete, young artists must create an original illustration that includes one of the following species: Veery, Wood Thrush, Black-Capped Chickadee, Yellow-rumped Warbler and the American Robin. Along with an original illustration, students in grades 4th-12th will also need to submit a one-page creative writing essay.

The Art of Conservation programs ignite new passions and help create the next generation of stewards. Young artists from around the world have the opportunity to win prizes and recognition while learning about songbirds, their habitats and how they can help reverse their population decline.

“Teaching conservation through the arts builds important life skills and connects young people to nature,” said Pat Conzemius, President & CEO of Wildlife Forever.

Winners will be honored in four grade categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Judging will occur in December and winners will be announced on January 5th, 2022. Submit your entry today at www.songbirdartcontest.org!
