NMMA Releases Its 2020 Campaign Platform

With the 2020 election season in full swing, NMMA is releasing its 2020 campaign platform to educate congressional and presidential candidates about the industry’s most-pressing advocacy priorities – an essential part of NMMA’s continued expansion of its advocacy work. Throughout the year, NMMA will educate candidates and policymakers about recreational boating, helping to ensure the industry’s issues are at the forefront of the national debate.

The document highlights the impact that boating and outdoor recreation has on the U.S. economy and provides a concise summary of the industry’s positions on policies related to conservation, recreational infrastructure, trade, fisheries, fuel, and business regulations.

From now until Election Day, states will be conducting their primaries and caucuses, and NMMA will be meeting with campaign officials to ensure that the industry’s priorities remain top-of-mind for both congressional and presidential candidates. NMMA will keep stakeholders informed during the 2020 campaign season by conducting webinars, hosting events at the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, and working with the industry to host tours and events at their facilities.
