S3DA’s 5th Annual Indoor National Championship

Williamsburg, KY – Located at the center of Louisville’s bustling downtown is the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC), which is a top-tier convention center and a must-see business hub. KICC will be host to the upcoming 2020 S3DA Indoor National Championship, held in conjunction with the National Field Archery Association’s (NFAA) Indoor Nationals on August 19th, 2020. S3DA is preparing for over 1,100 archers to compete in this event, – breaking the record for attendance from years past. Jennie Richardson, S3DA Executive Director, states, “We are very excited to host our 5th Annual S3DA Indoor National Championship. Last year was record breaking but we’ve accomplished the unbelievable again this year by increasing registration already by more than 140 archers! Our indoor archery participation continues to grow every year. This is a great tournament for archers, parents and spectators alike.”

Students from across the United States will have the opportunity to compete against other S3DA members for the title of “National Indoor Champion” in their respective division. The competition will be the same as in years past, which is (NFAA) five-spot style, including 30 arrows (6 shooting ends of 5 arrows each). Archers will have the option to choose to shoot a single face target instead of a 5-spot target.

There will be two line-times for this event with the High School and Middle School beginning action at 11 a.m., and the second line time of Middle School as well as Elementary beginning at 3 p.m. Award ceremonies will be held following the last line-time. Individual and club/team awards will be presented to the top scorers, including 1st-3rd place for male and female based on class and division, as well as 1st-3rd place for clubs and teams. For the first time ever, S3DA will be presenting the 1st place clubs and teams with their own S3DA Champion banner.

Registration for this event will run thru March 13th, 2020 and can be completed at https://s3da.sport80.com/events. For more information regarding the Western and Eastern National Events, you can visit www.s3da.org. Good luck to all S3DA archers preparing for the S3DA Indoor National Championship!
