Clinch River Archery Hosts Indoor Regional for Tennessee S3DA

Williamsburg, KY – Clinch River Archery recently held the fourth Indoor Regional for Tennessee S3DA at the Henry/Stafford East Tennessee Agricultural Exposition Center at Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tennessee. The Tennessee S3DA program has grown recently to become one of the largest programs in the nation. The Tennessee S3DA staff works hard to host events across the state allowing archers the opportunity to compete close to home. For this event, archers from twelve teams statewide competed. From the morning line to the evening line, archers brought their best performance, with some archers able to join the Tennessee S3DA 150 club for shooting a clean round.

“The Clinch River Indoor Regional was our only indoor event in East Tennessee this season and the first of our final three Indoor Regionals for the TNS3DA 2023 Indoor Season. It’s great to have a front row seat to see our archers progress as the season goes along. I would like to thank the staff at the Expo Center for welcoming us to this location. We have received a lot of positive feedback about the use of arenas this season. With the exponential growth in tournament attendance, the larger venues have definitely been a positive addition,” stated Tennessee S3DA State Coordinator, Robert Carter.

Dylan Hubble from Tennessee’s Triple Threat Archery said, “I enjoyed being on the same bale and shooting with one of my good friends, Remington Winslow, from Muddy Bayou Archery. We don’t always get to shoot together, but when we do, it’s a blast. I felt more confident in my shots this week and I was so excited to finally make it into the 150 club.”

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of youth archers.
