Jefferson City, Mo. - The Missouri Outdoor Communicators' holiday online auction is now open to the public for bidding.

This fundraiser features roughly 20 items primarily consisting of outdoor getaway packages, guided fishing trips and a selection of high-quality outdoor gear. Proceeds will go toward the Missouri Outdoor Communicators (MOC) "Buck" Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund - a $2,000 annual scholarship awarded to a collegiate student interested in a career in outdoor communications - and MOC's general operating funds.
According to Kyle Stewart, executive director of Missouri Outdoor Communicators, the auction is a great way to showcase Missouri's variety of outdoor adventures while also raising funds for the organization and its annual scholarship.
"Missouri has such an impressive offering of outdoor recreational activities, whether you are an angler or hunter, backpacker or floater or just someone who loves spending time in nature," Stewart says. "The majority of the generous donations from our organization's supporting members and media members highlight many of the things we love about our state and we hope that we can get more people to enjoy Missouri's outdoors through this auction."
Some highlights of the items on auction are a Lake of the Ozarks Family Getaway Package which includes a two-night stay at Margaritaville Lake Resort, a round of golf for four people at The Oaks, four passes to Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain and four passes to Big Surf Waterpark; A Branson Adventure Getaway including a two-night stay at a Branson hotel, two tickets to Clay Cooper's Country Express musical show, two tickets to the Branson Ferris Wheel and two tickets for go-karts; A one-night stay at Bass & Baskets Bed and Breakfast at the Lake of the Ozarks and a half-day guided bass fishing trip with Big Ed's Guide Service; an Abu Garcia Revo Toro Beast Low-Profile Baitcaster Reel with braided line; A half-day guided fishing trip on Stockton Lake with Tandem Fly Outfitters; a guided fishing trip with Joe Bragg of Thump Thirty Guide Service and several other guided trips by some of the best anglers in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.
Bidding for the online auction will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on December 4, 2020.
