Arizona Senate and House of Represenatives Confirm New Executive Director of Arizona State Parks and Trails

 

PHOENIX – Robert Broscheid has been confirmed as the executive director of Arizona State Parks and Trails during a vote today at the Capitol.

Broscheid, who served as the Director and CEO of the Colorado Parks & Wildlife Department since 2013, was appointed by Governor Doug Ducey in January and began work at Arizona’s Parks department on February 4, 2019.

“During the last month, I have been welcomed into my new role by the great staff at Arizona State Parks and Trails,” said Director Broscheid. “I plan to work with our statewide partners, elected officials, and tribal leaders to move forward toward success at the agency."

Broscheid’s work experience includes 18 years at the Arizona Game and Fish Department, where he served as the agency’s deputy director from 2008-2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management from Arizona State University and is a graduate of the National Conservation Leadership Institute at Harvard Business School.
