TN S3DA Hosts Final Indoor Regional Before State Indoor Championship

State Indoor Championship

Williamsburg, KY – Taylor’s Archery in Tullahoma, Tennessee hosted the final TN Indoor Regional of the 2020 season at the King’s Cross Church. With spectator numbers close to six-hundred people on the day, more than one-hundred and sixty-three archers competed in the event, representing 13 S3DA clubs and 5 teams. On several occasions, the range officials were called over to make a call on a close shot. The range officials used this as a “teachable moment” by using a light to shine on the arrow and line. The kids were then able to make a group decision and most of the time, all four kids were able to agree without the official making the call.

Country music singer, Dustin Lynch, donated his personal, autographed, compound bow to the Taylor’s Archery S3DA team for a raffle. Curtis Allen, Taylor Archery’s McKenzie and Easton representative, donated a brand new 3-D archery deer target. While waiting for awards to begin, the archer who put the deer together in the least amount of time won the target.

Tennessee State Coordinator, Robert Carter stated, “The group at Taylor’s Archery did a phenomenal job hosting this event. Josh Harris did an excellent job as Tournament Director and the King’s Cross Church was an excellent venue. We look forward to returning their next Indoor season.”

One of the Siegel High coaches commented, “Our kids had such a great time coming to Tullahoma to compete in the last Indoor Regional. They enjoyed seeing their friends, competing and earning recognition for their efforts. We brought kids from Murfreesboro from two teams ranging in ages from 11 to 17 and they all had a blast!”
