Moultrie, the leading innovator of feeders, trail cameras and game management tools, announces its partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) to support its Habitat for the Hatch initiative. This conservation initiative was launched to combat the decreasing turkey populations in the Southern United States. As a brand rooted in the southern turkey hunting community, this is a problem Moultrie is deeply dedicated to fighting.
Moultrie’s partnership with the NWTF comes in multiple facets. In addition to a substantial financial contribution, Moultrie is providing the NWTF with its industry-leading cellular trail cameras and integrated AI to take its habitat and land management to the next level. Now powered by Moultrie’s EDGE 2 and EDGE 2 Pro Cellular Trail Cameras, NWTF conservation staff members will be able to gather and share field intelligence seamlessly like never before.
“This is an incredibly important initiative, and we are excited to kick off this partnership with one of the premier conservation organizations in the country. Conservation experts, like the NWTF, must be equipped with the very best resources at their disposal,” said Moultrie Senior Brand Communications Manager Mark Olis. “Moultrie has joined the fight to ensure that happens. This combination of NWTF’s conservation experience and our expertise in the world of cellular cameras places our country’s hunting heritage in very safe hands.”
Habitat for the Hatch is a research-based initiative that aims to positively impact 1 million acres of nesting and brooding habitat in the Southeast by 2033. The program takes a hands-on approach to cultivating healthier ecosystems by increasing prescribed burning in forests and fields, increasing active management of forest stands, increasing the forest conservation footprint on private land and removing invasive plants harmful to the native turkey population.
In addition, Moultrie is contributing a bundle of its popular EDGE 2 Pro Cellular Trail cameras to various NWTF membership sweepstakes. These drawings will give NWTF members a chance to upgrade how they track wild turkey movement during the season, and improve their ability to effectively steward wild turkey populations in their home states.
