Memorial procession for conservation officer on Friday

A memorial procession for Indiana Conservation Officer Sgt. Ed Bollman, who died in the line of duty during an ice rescue on Feb. 13, will be held on Friday, starting at 11 a.m.

The procession will run from Mounds State Park (4306 Mounds Road, Anderson, IN 46017) to Brookside Cemetery in Lapel (300 W & S Brookside Road, Lapel, IN 46051).

The route on which citizens are asked to show their support is 53rd Street through Anderson and extending past Lapel Middle/Elementary School. DNR Law Enforcement asks that supporting citizens not park on the roadway.

Graveside honors consistent with all Indiana fallen officer line-of-duty deaths will be given at Bollman’s grave at Brookside Cemetery.
