Montana: mountain lion hunting to close in several HD’s in Regions 1, 2 and 4

The hunting of male mountain lions in northwestern Montana hunting district 130, which includes portions of Lake and Missoula counties, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019.

The hunting of all mountain lions in western Montana hunting districts 212, 215 and 217 which includes portions of Granite, Powell, Deer Lodge and Silver Bow counties, will close at one half hour after sunset on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019.

The hunting of all mountain lions in central Montana Hunting District’s 422, 423, 424, 425 and 442, which includes portions of Lewis & Clark and Teton counties, will close at one-half hour after sunset on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019.

The closure notices came shortly after Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for lions in these districts had been met.
