Premiere Southeast Texas Ranch To Offer Trophy Whitetail and Super Exotic Hunts
Columbus, Texas) - Vara Ranch is located in Southeast Texas and situated on a naturally diverse landscape of rocky terrain, natural streams and centuries old live oaks. What began as one family’s passion for hunting and the outdoors is now set to become a world-class hunting destination and experience.
Matt and Valorie Loessin own a large national surveying and engineering firm based in Texas. When seeking out the ideal name for their ranch, they looked no further than one of the state’s historical layout measurement terms.
“Vara was an original survey measurement during the layout of the state,” says Matt. “ We couldn’t think of a better name that tied our family business with our state’s heritage.”
Vara Ranch was initially started as a premiere whitetail breeding ranch and has quickly become a well-known source of superior genetics that is evident in their top-quality whitetail breeder bucks, does and super exotic stock. With explosive growth in the world-class breeding realm, creating a premiere hunting experience was the obvious next step.
Vara Ranch will provide guests with an all-inclusive high fence hunting experience featuring five-star Texas hospitality that is easily accessible from Houston, San Antonio or Austin.
“The full service experience at our ranch will begin as soon as our guests arrive,” Matt says. “Our 5,000-square-foot hunting lodge is designed to provide exceptional luxury for a diverse clientele and a hunting experience that dreams are made of.”
The new lodge can accommodate groups of up to eight hunters. This includes 4 private en-suite guest rooms that are each uniquely decorated to showcase a global hunting experience. A bunk room can accommodate additional guests. After the day’s hunt, guests can retreat to the expansive great room, enjoy the fully stocked bar and indulge in chef-prepared meals before retiring to the front porch to watch
the sunset over the Lone Star landscape. Additional experiences include trophy bass fishing, skeet shooting, long range shooting and additional services for non-hunting guests.
Vara Ranch is currently accepting reservations for the inaugural season this fall. The trophy whitetail season will be limited to just 15 hunts. This doesn’t include the expansive exotic game offerings that include axis deer, impala, kudu, wildebeest and more.
