One of the world’s most widely traveled sportsmen, Chris Dorsey, steps out the pages of American’s greatest adventure magazine, Sporting Classics, to showcase the planet’s most unforgettable hunting and fishing on the TV series, Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey, now airing its sophomore season on Outdoor Channel Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET. The 2025 season includes adventures in Scotland, Spain, Mexico, Iceland, Saskatchewan, Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, Virginia, Idaho and South Carolina, and highlights spectacular adventures for wild game, from bobwhite quail to Cape buffalo.
The series will present the Sporting Classics magazine creed, “The Heritage, The Romance, The Art of Hunting and Fishing,” to a new audience while presenting the finest hunting and fishing destinations. Along the way, Dorsey creates adventures with a few close friends. These companions know the magic contained in the simple phrase, “opening day,” and who understand that the words “hunter” and “conservationist” are one and the same.
Chris Dorsey has been called the “brand father” of outdoor television having produced more than 2,000 episodes across 56 series with the largest brands in the outdoors. He’s hosted nearly 400 episodes and has taken all 29 North American big game species, all of Africa’s deadly seven, the spiral horns of Africa and the World Slam of Turkeys.
