Avedon & Colby’s New All-Terrain Field Pants: Performance and Function Without Sacrificing Quality, Comfort and Style

(Black Earth, WI) Avedon & Colby has introduced the ultimate All-Terrain Field Pant. Sewn from a combination of 7 oz. and 10 oz. 100% cotton All-Terrain canvas, the new pants offer all of the functional performance details and comfort features you would expect from Avedon & Colby.

Two different weights of tightly woven, 100% cotton canvas provide major support and abrasion resistance in high-wear areas with no awkward stiffness or chafing for an exceptionally comfortable fit. A unique 4" seamless crotch gusset tapers gradually own the inside of each leg to just above the knee to eliminate binding and crotch-seam irritation when climbing or hiking. The design of the articulated knees follow the shape of your legs for greater freedom of movement. Every fabric panel in the seat, hips and legs is strategically contoured to allow maximum movement and comfort without binding while maintaining a trim, stylish profile. The pants also feature a soft, comfortable waistband, a full-length (7-inch) heavy-duty YKK brass zipper, a metal clasp waist closure, and a full French fly to eliminate stress on the zipper.

Functional features and details include side cargo pockets secured with two hidden buttons that feature Signature tuck-in flaps that can be tucked in without puckering. Rear-facing pleats permit full cargo expansion without catching on thorns or brush, and inner security pockets close with heavy-duty brass YKK zippers. Smaller, outer patch pockets accommodate a cell phone or compact GPS unit and close with a hidden button.

Extra-large. 6" x 6" rear hip pockets are secured with heavy-duty brass YKK zippers and are trimmed with 10 oz. canvas for added durability. Each rear pocket is supported by 2 ½", military-style canvas back panel that runs from side-seam to center to prevent sagging.

Easy-access front pockets are 10" deep with interior "bags" constructed from the same 7 oz. cotton canvas as the pant for extreme durability.

The new All-Terrain Field Pants are available in waist sizes from 32" to 42" (with 2-button waist tabs for a custom fit) and a 32" inseam for $199 on the Avedon & Coby website - www.avedoncolby.com.

About Avedon & Colby

Burt Avedon: Burt purchased the original Willis & Geiger in 1978 after it went bankrupt following the collapse of Abercrombie & Fitch, the company's largest customer. After a distinguished career as a Navy fighter pilot serving in combat during both World War II and Korea – and later as a Top Gun instructor and a bush pilot/professional hunter in British East Africa, Burt set about to revive the bankrupt company by re-introducing improved and entirely new versions of many of the iconic Willis & Geiger styles that had so capably outfitted adventurers and explorers like Teddy Roosevelt, Ernest Hemingway, Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, and others. When Land’s End closed Willis & Geiger in 1999 during a company-wide downsizing, Burt and Susan Colby launched their design and consulting firm, Avedon & Colby, to create premium performance wear and accessories for leading outdoor and lifestyle brands. Burt passed away in May, 2018 and was buried with full military honors and Navy fly over at Arlington National Cemetery on October 18.
