Big Rock Sports, the premier outdoor sporting goods distributor in North America, is looking for a motivated shooting enthusiast to become part of our Demand Planning Team.

The position will be responsible for procurement and forecasting within select categories of shooting sports products.  We are looking for someone who can use their knowledge of products, market trends, and consumer demand to accurately maintain inventory across our entire distribution network.  The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated professional, with strong analytical skills, who is adept at working in a team environment.  Ideally, the successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge of the shooting sports; including firearms, ammunition, optics, range accessories, cleaning products, and/or hunting accessories.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate SKU level demand forecasts and executing purchase orders utilizing forecasting and replenishment software.  Forecasting will include initial forecast of new product(s) by utilizing like-item data and intuitive competence.  Will collaborate and maintain relationships with current and prospective vendors, create and analyze specialized reports to measure inventory and vendor performance.  Will also serve as a liaison with Operations, Merchandising, Finance and Senior Management.

In addition to the requirements outlined above, must have a four-year degree (in supply chain management, business or statistics preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.  A background in inventory replenishment or purchasing with 3 or more years’ experience is preferred.  Must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office systems.   We are looking for someone who can become a computer expert user in select forecasting software and ERP systems.
