Bonnier Names Andrew McKean Hunting Editor of Outdoor Life

New York, NY — Andrew McKean has been named Outdoor Life’s Hunting Editor, it was announced today by Editor-in-Chief Alex Robinson. His appointment is effective immediately.

McKean most recently served as a contributing writer and Editor-at-Large for Outdoor Life, as well as the Brand Director at Powderhook, a hunting and fishing app. Prior to that, he was the Editor-in-Chief at Outdoor Life from 2012-2018, as well as the Hunting Editor from 2007-2018. He resides with his family in Glasgow, Montana.

“I could not be more excited to welcome McKean back to Outdoor Life,” Robinson says. “He’s a revered voice in the industry and he’s an incredibly talented writer. He’s also the best all-around hunter I’ve ever been in the field with. Outdoor Life’s Hunting Editor title is historically an important one for our magazine and for our industry, and there’s no one better suited to hold the title than McKean.”

McKean replaces Will Brantley, who was the Hunting Editor for both Field & Stream and Outdoor Life magazines. Brantley will continue as Field & Stream’s Hunting Editor.
