Women for Gun Rights’ Alexis Wilkins Champions Second Amendment During Interview with Lone Star Outdoor Show
Women for Gun Rights Strategic Communications Director, Alexis Wilkins, sat down for an in-depth interview with Cable Smith on the Lone Star Outdoor Show, to highlight the organization’s efforts to safeguard the Second Amendment. The conversation delved into the anti-gun movement’s detrimental effects, particularly on women, and explored barriers preventing women from carrying firearms as frequently as men.
“The Second Amendment really does protect women and guns are the great equalizer for women to be able to carry,” Wilkins said. “Opponents love to make guns sound like these big, scary things. And in fact, there's a huge business behind creating weariness about guns. Michael Bloomberg funds Moms Demand Action, the group created in the wake of the school shootings, at the tune of $60 million. It’s a profitable industry for the entities that want to make sure that gun free zones exist, and they want to make sure that the people don't have access to or think they don't have access to their Second Amendment rights, which of course, do not come from the government. They come from God.”
The interview offers a compelling look at Wilkins’ unwavering commitment to Second Amendment advocacy. She highlighted the mission of Women for Gun Rights, emphasizing boots-on-the-ground advocacy and the surge in women purchasing firearms. She addressed why young women are the least likely to carry, underscoring the need for education and firearm training. Wilkins also shared insights into her work with PragerU, her experiences growing up in anti-gun Europe, and her personal passion for shooting.
“Women For Gun Rights is about empowering women to protect themselves and their families,” Wilkins stated. “Education and training are key to breaking down barriers and ensuring women feel confident exercising their Second Amendment rights.”
