RMEF Announces Promotions, Open Position

MISSOULA, MT — The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation this week announced the promotion of two employees as well as the opening of a key staff position.

Shane Cronk, vice president of finance and accounting, accepted a promotion to chief financial officer (CFO). Starting as a cash manager, Shane worked various roles in the accounting department as well as development for 14 years. In the CFO role, he assumes responsibilities for accounting, information and technology systems, internal support operations and management of RMEF investments.

Steve Decker, vice president of marketing, accepted a promotion to the newly established position of chief revenue officer (CRO). Over the past 22 years, Steve served RMEF in a variety of staff roles. Starting as in intern in the Elk Country Visitor Center, he moved to duties in field operations and most recently marketing. As the CRO, he will oversee all revenue generation and fundraising operations, marketing, communications and national program activities for RMEF.
