Fort Walton Beach, Fla. - Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park successfully participated in a rigorous re-accreditation process from the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks & Aquariums (AMMPA) and the International Marine Animal Trainer's Association (IMATA).
"We maintain the standards of governing agencies. I find it equally important to adhere to these global accrediting bodies to show our continued commitment to the welfare of our animals and their ocean counterparts," says Gulfarium's General Manager, Patrick Berry.
The Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks & Aquariums is an international association representing marine life parks, aquariums, and zoos dedicated to the highest standards of care for marine mammals and to their conservation in the wild through public education, scientific study, and wildlife presentations.
The International Marine Animal Trainer's Association is an organization dedicated to advancing the humane care and handling of marine animals by fostering communication between professionals that serve marine animal science through training, public display, research, husbandry, conservation, and education.
"Fostering a positive relationship with our animals, delivering exceptional animal welfareand sharing that connection with guests is a vital component to our mission," says Berry.
