QUWF CV-19 Announcement

Buffalo, MO: “Due to the criteria set by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), recommending gatherings of no more than 50 people, we are asking our chapters to reschedule any activities, banquets, youth events or secondary events for the next 30 days. We recommend looking at a reschedule time of at least 60 days later” States Craig Alderman, founder and Executive Director of QUWF. Further, QUWF has asked its staff not to travel and put in place no in-person visits to its national offices or regional offices and no site visits for the safety of it staff and members.

“We will come out the other side, and when we do, I’m asking all conservation minded members to support our national sponsors who will be as hurt as we will be. We can and must support them by using their products in our banquets, secondary events and youth events.” Craig says.

What can you do in the meantime? Practice good health habits with you and your family, wash your hands and observe the social distancing recommendations. Be vigilant for our elderly parents and grandparents and their needs. For chapters and members, review your wildlife habitat goals, work projects and events via email or electronic conferencing and be ready to roll full speed when the virus breaks, AND IT WILL.

We ask all our members and supporters, please don’t panic, hoarding supplies is NOT the way to approach this. Of course, buy what you need but not a year’s worth or more at one time.

Remember, all that we are doing now will directly reduce the spread on not only CV 19, but also the standard flu and this is a positive, needed, action. We had become complacent with the standard flu and accepted its affect too often like a seasonal requirement versus how can we slow it down.

The one thing it has not changed is the Honey Do list, funny how that works.
