Breach-Bang-Clear is proud to announce that GW Ayers Grimm, Lord of House Grimm, is now Justiciar of the Realm and King's Headsman for House Morningwood. GW, a lifelong practitioner of the noble profession of arms, is a former career soldier who served over 2 decades before retiring as a SNCO. During his years of service Ayers has done battle with tafkirin, Thenns, and assorted other villains from places as varied as Surai, the Fulda Gap, and distant Puyallup. He is a righteous, honorable man whose force of personality is visible to the naked eye, and we're proud to have him.
GW enlisted right after graduating high school, served in the Army for 22 years, then immediately entered the Defense Industry. In the decade since then he has helped launch two successful new businesses and worked as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing in a third. Now he will help encourage good people to be better while wreaking justice upon those who require chastisement.
"I'm proud to accept this position on the Lords Council," says Ayers. "We need to be supportive of one another, be empathetic and heroic. You know, just be good humans in general. But make no mistake - some people need killin', and there is something to be said for drinking from the skulls of your enemies."
GW’s military career began as an Armored Reconnaissance Specialist in a unit patrolling the East and West German border during the Cold War. In the years following he served in the 2ndACR, 3rdACR, 116thInfantry Regiment, 3- CAV 1-7 CAV, the US Army Recruiting Command, and 214 CAV, 1stBrigade, 25thInfantry Regiment. He held many leadership billets during his career and frequently attended leadership schools, including all that were MOS or rank specific and several others (including Level 2 CT and FEMA Operations). An Iraq veteran of OIF 3 and OIF 4, Ayers served in every NCO billet a Reconnaissance Specialist can hold, including Scout Platoon Sergeant. He is the recipient of numerous awards and decorations, including the Soldiers Medal, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Action Badge.
"GW is a natural leader who inspired loyalty and affection from everyone he works with," opines giant Mag Mar Weg Pawg Dun from his headquarters at Hardheath. "Sometimes even from his enemies. He was one of the first Senior Enlisted Advisors posted to in Iraqi unit in the Tal Afar Area of Operations when things really went sideways there...spent a long time with an Iraqi infantry battalion headquartered in Al Kisik, and also ran several operations as a HUMINT supervisor. He's a solid warfighter and is as fair and equitable as they come."
Ayers was a staunch part of the leadership at Tactical Tailor for many years, helping both Grey Ghost Gear and Grey Ghost Precision achieve great success, and is now the Vice President for Government Relations at Rainier Defense and Rainier Arms. He’s an ardent historian, passionate Harley rider (2019 Street Glide) and once led a semi-piratical boarding action onto another company’s yacht in Tampa Harbor during SOFIC (the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference, and yes that's a true story).
Ayers continues to hone his skills sub-rosa with some of the extraordinarily skilled (and dangerous) clients his companies serve. He prefers Makers Mark or Basil Hayden’s, regularly quotes Kelly’s Heroes, and reads authors from Chet Holmes and William Dietz to SLA Marshal and Martin Creveld.
