Whitetails Unlimited Grants $7,800 to Iowa DNR

Whitetails Unlimited has awarded a $7,800 grant to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fish and Wildlife Trust Fund. This brings the total WTU has awarded to this particular fund to more than $37,000 since the partnership began in 2012.

The fund is used by the Iowa DNR to help manage fisheries and wildlife as well as law enforcement expenditures. The IDNR has also been very involved with the national R3 initiative which aims to Recruit, Retain, and Reactivate hunters and target shooters.

“The IDNR has been extremely active in the national R3 initiative,” says Whitetails Unlimited Program Services Director Russ Austad. “The R3 Initiative also aligns perfectly with WTU’s Preserving the Hunting Tradition program.”
