Game Wardens Locate Missing 11-Year-Olds Early This Morning

PLYMOUTH, Maine – A pair of 11-year-olds who wandered off from their backyard in Plymouth last night were located early this morning by two Maine Game Wardens after spending most of the night in the woods.

Cooper Bowden and Neveah Woodard, both 11 and from Plymouth, went outside to play in their yard around 6:30 last night. After around 20 minutes, the parents noticed that they were no longer in the yard, and after calling for them and searching for them for approximately a half hour, the Maine Warden Service and the Maine State Police were notified.

Once on scene, Warden Service and State Police K-9s started searching the area, along with several volunteers from the Plymouth area. Troopers and Wardens searched nearby roads and woods close to the residence.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning, Game Warden Josh Beal and Game Warden Deputy Emily Tripp located the pair in the woods approximately ¾ of a mile away from their house. Both children were cold but otherwise fine and they returned home.

No other Information is available at this time…
