Christian Outdoor Podcast Sweeps SCOPe Awards

Aiken, SC - The South Carolina Outdoor Press Association (SCOPe) held its business conference in the beautiful town of Aiken, SC, October 21-24.

An essential part of the event is the Excellence in Craft Competition where members compete head-to-head in different categories of outdoor communication.

Christian Outdoors Podcast swept the awards for Audio communication at this years’ conference. Winning both first and second places in the category.

The 1st place winner was episode # 68 entitled “The Evolution of the Muzzleloading Rifle” with Tony Smotherman.

2nd place winner was episode #40 “How a Dog Shooting Me Changed my Life” with Matt Branch

“I am thrilled with these awards.” Founder and host Pete Rogers said upon receiving them. “It validates all of the hard work and effort to bring good content to the listeners” he said.

Christian Outdoors Podcast is the fastest growing podcast in its genre, with the number of listeners doubling each month. Most episodes have interviews with people about their passion for the outdoors and their personal faith journey, while other episodes focus on some spiritual issue facing our world.

About Pete Rogers

Pete Rogers is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned his Masters in Divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. Over 21 years ago, Pete began merging his passion for writing with the outdoors.

Pete spends over 250 days a year afield in pursuit of various game. An avid hunter, fishing, camping and hiking.

Taking these experiences, Pete publishes over 100 articles and 400 photographs annually in numerous publications. He is also the author of six books and founder and host of Christian Outdoors Podcast. A weekly podcast that merges his passion for the outdoors with his passion for Christ.

A member of the Professional Outdoor Media Association, the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association and current president of the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association, his stories, videos, photographs, and podcasts have earned over 60 awards.

In addition to all this Pete is also a well sought-after keynote speaker for non-profits, civic groups, churches, sportsman’s banquets, clubs, team building retreats, college campuses and more.
