LIPSEY’S CELEBRATES THE NEW YEAR WITH KEY MANAGEMENT PROMOTIONS

Baton Rouge, La.—Lipsey’s, a nationally renowned firearms distributor, begins the year with the promotion of two long-time, dedicated members of its management team.

Lipsey's annual company kickoff meeting always brings anticipation, unveiling, and big news for the upcoming year. 2020 was no exception as Laurie Aronson, President and CEO, was excited to announce the promotions of management team members Aaron Keating and Brett Frey, both, to Vice President status. Keating, a 17 year veteran and Lipsey’s current CIO, now adds Vice President of Technology to his title. Frey, who’s been critical to the success and architecture of the purchasing team for over 14 years, now holds the title of Vice President of Sales and Purchasing.

With over three decades of combined industry experience, Keating and Frey are well prepared for the new responsibilities ahead. Aaron Keating comments, “Since joining Lipsey’s, it’s been both an honor and a privilege to be part of an industry leader and a team that is second to none. Seeing our technology improve over time has been exciting and fulfilling as well. We set the bar high and we’re focused on meeting and exceeding our goals by way of constant improvement and an ongoing focus on partner relationships.” Brett Frey adds, “I’m excited to start this new role and work with our team to continue to move our company forward. We have a fantastic team, and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together.”

As Lipsey’s advances its growing operation, the future and opportunities continue to progress with these new promotions. Flint Virgets, Senior Vice President and General Manager, knows the importance of leadership and continuity. “Brett is well deserving of this new position. He has done an outstanding job leading our purchasing team, while working closely with sales. Brett has a thorough understanding of our business and knows what it takes to be successful. His work ethic is contagious and I anticipate great things from our sales teams in 2020.”

Mark Emonet, Senior Vice President and CFO, understands the significance of having key personnel in place to navigate and lead in technology. “Technology in today’s world is vital for any organization. For the last 17 years, Aaron has made that his priority. Our information systems are the finest in the industry and is a large reason for our success.
