Americana Outdoors – Handguns from Africa to Texas
This week on Americana Outdoors we join several folks who share their handgun hunting experience. Then, we take out some of our very own on their first ever handgun hunt, but first, we are joined with a special guest from Smith & Wesson Performance Center, Tony Miele. We invited him to go out on his first rattling hunt last year in Brackettville, TX which was a success as he took a Whitetail with his go-to gun the Performance Center .44 Magnum Hunter. Let's see what surprises lie ahead and if he'll be successful this year as we go out on another rattling hunt.
Next, we meet up with Wade Middleton in Limpopo Province, South Africa on his very first Impala hunt. Then, we look back on several handgun hunts from the past while sharing insight on choosing the best handgun for you to hunt with. Soon after, we meet up with Steve Nessl from Yamaha as we take him out on another handgun hunt after introducing handgun hunting to him 3-years ago. He has made it a goal to take a doe on his first hunt and a nice buck on his second hunt. Tune into this episode to see if a buck will allow him to turn his goal into a reality.
Later, we finally join some of our own Americana Outdoor staff as we take out Michael Wersig and Jeff Reynolds on their very first handgun hunts. Both have seen the action with others but have yet to experience all the action on their end in the field. As handgun hunting rises in popularity, there are definitely more challenging aspects to this form of hunting because it gets you close to the animal. This is one episode you surely won't want to miss as we go on the hunt for Whitetail in Texas, to Impala in Africa, and back to Texas for more Whitetail.

O'Neill Outside – Travis' Texas Whitetail
In this episode of O'Neill Outside, we head near Wheeler, TX where we will be joining Travis Johnson and his hunting partner, Dakota Russell on a whitetail hunt. While they are out on their hunt, they are visited by some critters that caught them by surprise and added a little bonus to their hunt.
Later, they both harvest what they came hunting for, the Texas Whitetail deer. One, of which was the longest shot that had ever been taken. Of course, after a long day of hunting nothing sounds better than a well-cooked meal. Tune in to see what O'Neill himself has to prepare using the Big Green Egg while cooking with Swaggerty's hot Italian sausage. Sounds good already!
