Rapala Debuts Larger, Deeper-Diving Shad Dancer

MINNETONKA, Minn. Rapala’s® new No. 7 Shad Dancer®dives 4 to 5 feet deeper than the No. 5 and presents a bigger baitfish profile to match the hatch on waterbodies where fish target larger forage species.

At 2-¾ inches long, the new No. 7 Shad Dancer is ¾ of an inch longer than the original No. 5 model. It will dive 9 to 14 feet deep, where the No. 5 and No. 4 max out at 7 to 10 feet. It weighs 9/16thof an ounce and comes armed with bigger VMC® Treble Hooks than does the original Shad Dancer.

Swimming with a silent, but aggressive, hard-thumping and sweeping tail action, Shad Dancers offer the excitement of a Rapala Tail Dancer® in a shad-profile bait. They feature a tough balsa body that can be trolled or cast.

The new No. 7 Shad Dancer is available in the same 21 color patterns as the No. 5 and No. 4: Live Bluegill, Dark Brown Crawdad, Firetiger, Green Tiger UV, Hot Steel, Helsinki Shad, Live Largemouth Bass, Perch, Pink Chrome, Purpledescent, Purple Chrome, Live Pumpkinseed, Pink Tiger UV, Red Crawdad, Redfire Crawdad, Live River Shad, Silver, Live Smallmouth Bass, Shad Silver Fluorescent and Yellow Perch.
