Lake Worth, Fl The innovative minds at Tigress Outriggers & Gear are proud to announce their partnership with one of Florida's fastest growing tournaments, the CCA Statewide Tournament and Angler Rodeo, popularly known as CCA STAR.

Work together began April 1, 2019, just ahead of the upcoming 101 fishing competition, one hundred one days of fishing, starting Memorial Day lasting until Labor Day.

The fifth year of CCA STAR continues its unique combination of conservation, data collection, education, and prizes.

Over $500,000 in prizes are up for grabs this year. A Tigress XD Top mount and XD Carbon Fiber Outrigger Package plus a new outboard motor make up the first-place prize of the Tigress Outriggers & Gear Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) Division.

For the second year in a row, 20 tagged dolphin will be released in the coastal waters of Florida, giving offshore anglers a chance to participate and become more involved in conservation education. There are five additional prize opportunities in the Tigress Outriggers & Gear Dolphin Division, and anglers can enter one fish per day across the 101-day competition.

Started in 1977 by 14 anglers working against destructive commercial gear, degraded habitat, and misguided management concepts, the Gulf Coast Conservation Association was founded. In 1985 CCA Florida became the fifth state CCA chapter dedicated to conserving and enhancing marine resources and coastal environments. CCA currently boasts 42 chapters.

Then, 2015 was the start of the first most unique fishing tournaments the angling community has ever seen. Focused on technology and conservation, CCA STARs "catch, photo, release" competition is accessible to anyone with a smartphone. CCA STARs app eliminates the need for anglers to bring fish to a weigh-in and constantly promotes proper handling of all species in the competition. This competition is a great format for all ages.

"And that they are conservation minded and understand the importance of continued improvement in nearshore and offshore reefs as well as working towards keeping other countries from fishing local waters with long lines and protecting our bait fish."

The beneficial relationship introduces Tigress Outriggers & Gear to CCA members and improves the relationship CCA has with Eastcoast anglers. The partnership also introduces offshore anglers unfamiliar with CCA to the most dedicated conservation organization in Florida all while fishing, learning, and with a little luck, winning some incredible prizes.
