QUWF Increases College of the Ozarks Endowment Fund by 40% YTD

BUFFALO, MO: “The Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation, Inc. (QUWF) announces today that we have increased the College of the Ozark’s QUWF Endowment Fund by 40% YTD in 2019” states Craig Alderman, Executive Director. “This brings our college education endowment to $14,000 and it will continue to increase helping students in the Conservation and Wildlife Curriculum’s have a “NO DEBT” education at the College of the Ozarks. We had our first student this year receive the first QUWF scholarship and another entering the college this year receive a scholarship grant to the college for his education as a fisheries biologist” said Craig.

“If you have any communication with wildlife agencies, state or federal you quickly find the lack of individuals that have a background in agriculture, farming, ranching getting a solid 4 year education in conservation or wildlife management. Most of the families in agriculture cannot afford to send their children to college, thus losing a great resource whose very nature is working outdoors, turning the dirt and understanding the real challenges of conservation. College of the Ozarks, known as “Hard Work U” provides a debt free education to families who need assistance and look to agricultural families in particular and the students work through their 4 year degree. Something farm families are all to well familiar with”, explains Alderman.

QUWF established the QUWF Endowment through its corporate office and all of its chapters in 2018 to forever provide assistance to qualified students seeking degrees in wildlife management and conservation. Further, the College of the Ozarks is the top ranked Christian school in the nation teaching values of faith, citizenship, patriotism and ethical integrity. QUWF’s endowment also seeks to assist the children of veterans. “We encourage any QUWF member, sponsor or chapter to help us build a solid future for conservation educating the best leaders with the background and ability to relate to the needs of true conservation on private and public lands. Anyone can contribute to the growing QUWF endowment.
