Dorsey’s Colorado Combo Hunt on Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey

Epic high-altitude hunts for elk and mule deer featured in this week’s Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey

Castle Rock, Colorado--Dorsey Pictures announces that this week’s episode of Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey - the most watched outdoor TV program in the world – features epic hunts for elk and mule deer in the high-altitude alpine wilderness of the San Juan Mountains in southern Colorado. Dorsey is in pursuit of a monster wapiti, with a mule deer tag in his pocket just in case the elk hunt turns into a mulie hunt.

While there are plenty of bulls roaming this stretch of the state, Dorsey is after a giant which eluded several hunters earlier in the season. The showdown culminates in a thousand-acre stand of giant aspens with an epic game of cat and mouse, delivering a 360-class bull on the last day of the season. But it isn’t just the elk that grow big here, for eye-popping mule deer bucks call this high country home as well… and wait ‘til you get a look at the whopper non-typical that materializes from the forest. The episode premieres on Outdoor Channel on Saturday at 12:30 pm, with encore airings on Monday at noon, Wednesday at 9 am, Friday at 7 am, and Saturday at 4:30 am (all times ET).

The episode is also featured in the latest Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey podcast, available on most major podcast platforms.
