Commission Amendment Proposed for June Agenda Item

A proposed amendment for an item on the June 19 Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting agenda is available for public review and comment online.?The commission will meet in the Montana WILD Auditorium and?virtually via Zoom June 19 at 8:30 a.m.

The amendment, proposed by Region 3 Commissioner Susan Kirby Brooke would change the proposed mountain lion quotas in Region 3 for 2025-2026 in the following lion management units to:

  • For LMU 301 decrease females from 7 to 4 and males from 13 to 3
  • For LMU 302 decrease females from 6 to 3 and males from 4 to 2
  • For LMU 304 decrease females from 6 to 3 and males from 11 to 6
  • For LMU 314 decrease females from 4 to 2 and males from 7 to 4
  • For LMU 317 decrease females from 4 to 2 and males from 3 to 2
  • For LMU 318 decrease females from 4 to 3 and males from 6 to 5
  • For LMU 319 decrease females from 2 to 1 and males from 3 to 2
  • For LMU 339 decrease females from 5 to 4
