American Bear Foundation Adds California Chapter

CODY, WY - North America’s only bear conservation and hunting advocacy organization is proud to announce it is adding a state chapter in California. The chapter will be essential in the efforts to ensure a future for bears and bear hunting in the United States.

The ABF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit headquartered in Cody, Wyoming, and operating across North America. ABF is dedicated to enhancing and protecting bear populations, bear habitat, and bear hunting opportunities in North America. “The ABF was developed primarily due to a lack of support for black bears, bear hunters, and bear conservation in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming,” said ABF President Joe Kondelis. “We started as a small, scrappy group of passionate conservationists, and now we have chapters across North America. This was always the vision, but it’s still surreal to see how far we’ve come.”

As the ABF moves forward as an organization that represents bears and bear advocates in North America, its’ vision is to leave future generations of sportspeople with a better opportunity to share and grow their bear hunting traditions.
