Lake Guntersville (AL) to Get 5,000 Florida Strain Largemouths



Guntersville, AL - The Foodland Bass Team Tournament, hosted by Major League Fishing Angler Chris Lane, and the Major League Fishing Angler Association have partnered together to bring 5,000 new Florida strain Largemouth Bass to Lake Guntersville. The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries has approved the required permit for the public water stocking.

“Conservation of this sport is critical and we are excited to have the privilege to put back what is taken out,” said Chris Lane. “With the support from Mitchell Grocery and Foodland, and the partnership of Major League Fishing and the MLF Angler Association, we will prolong the life of the great sport of bass fishing on Lake Guntersville.”

The enhancement will take place on May 25th during the Foodland Bass Team Tournament and the 12th Annual “Reeling in Future Pros” Fish Camp, sponsored by Power-Pole and Bass Pro Shops, in Guntersville, AL at Bucky Howe Park.
