Indiana: Spring Mill State Park hosts Heritage Days, Aug. 4-5

Travel back in time during Spring Mill State Park’s Heritage Days, .

Guests can experience life as a settler in the Pioneer Village. The event will mark Spring Mill’s 25th Heritage Weekend, recognizing more than 175 years of Lawrence County.

Throughout the weekend, pioneer re-enactors will be quilting, spinning, weaving and more. Visitors can participate in hands-on programs presented by staff and volunteers. Find program schedules at the park office or grist mill.

On Sunday, Aug. 5, the annual quilt show will run from noon to 4 p.m. in the Pioneer Village. Quilters are welcome to participate. Interested parties should contact Coletta Prewitt at 812-849-3534 or for more details.

Lawrence County Tourism also will serve cake to guests from noon to 2 p.m. at the meeting house.

Park admission is $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
