Indiana: Salamander Sunday is March31 at Paynetown SRA

Learn everything you wanted to know about salamanders at PaynetownSRA on March 31 during Salamander Sunday. Four programs will help you understand the salamander’s environment, habitat and behavior.

Two programs are open to everyone with no registration needed: asalamander survey at 8 a.m. at Stillwater Marsh, and a woodlandsalamander exploration at 3 p.m.

Two other programs require advance registration by March 27. The first is a presentation on the salamanders of southern Indiana, which is limited to 25 people, at 10:30 a.m. The second is a salamander craft session, which is limited to 16 children, at 1 p.m.

Salamander Sunday programs are free. There is no fee to enter the property during the winter season.
