The Gun Rights Policy Conference planning committee announced that special operations veteran Christian Craighead will give the keynote address during the 40th annual event.
Born in northeast England, Craighead joined the British Army at 16 years old, eventually earning a coveted spot as a member of Tier 1 Special Forces. As a highly decorated member of 22 SAS – the British Army’s Special Mission Unit known for covert reconnaissance, counterterrorism and hostage rescue – he single-handedly shifted the outcome of a terrorist attack in Kenya in 2019. Now a resident of Texas, Craighead has the full rights bestowed upon any American citizen and works to ensure our Second Amendment freedoms are not infringed.
“I grew up in a country without a Second Amendment, so I know full well how important the right to keep and bear arms is to American citizens,” Craighead said. “I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and thoughts on why the ability to exercise our full Second Amendment rights is of the utmost importance so anyone can become a necessary leader in any situation.”
Co-hosted by the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA), GRPC is scheduled for Sept. 26 – 28 in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek.
In addition to Craighead, other notable GRPC speakers include:
