Gun Digest Book: AK-47

APPLETON, Wisconsin   – Gun Digest Media LLC, publisher of Gun Digest the Magazine and Gun Digest books, has released a new title that tells of the AK-47’s history, design and dissemination throughout the world. Marco Vorobiev, author of AK-47: Survival and Evolution of the World’s Most Prolific Gun, does a masterful job of detailing the story behind the gun’s development and explaining the many improvements that have made it the fascinating modern firearm it is today.

With AK-47, Vorobiev, a former elite Soviet Spetsnaz solider and now a U.S. citizen, delivers a full-color, richly illustrated account of how the rifle has survived for decades despite inside political pressures and constant competition from newer military firearm designs. He goes on to provide mechanical information about the AKM, AK-74, RPK and other variants, followed by a step-by-step modernization guide and sources for AK components.

Appealing to AK-47 buffs and shooters from both an historical and practical point of view, this authoritative guide is the new reference for gun collectors and enthusiasts everywhere.
