Washington, D.C. –
Safari Club International (SCI), the leading voice in protecting the freedom to hunt and promoting wildlife conservation worldwide, is proud to announce the appointment of Seth D. Feldman, EdD, JD as its new General Counsel.
Reporting directly to W. Laird Hamberlin, CEO Safari Club International, Seth brings a wealth of experience at the intersection of law, education, and nonprofit leadership. Most recently serving as Executive Director and General Counsel at the Bay Area Technology School in Oakland, California, he oversaw all legal operations while leading multimillion-dollar strategic development initiatives. His extensive legal and organizational acumen will strengthen SCI’s ability to advocate for hunters’ rights, navigate complex regulatory landscapes, and ensure operational compliance at every level.
Seth has a track record of advising nonprofit organizations on governance, risk management, compliance, and tax strategy. His prior experience includes labor law and international tax matters, as well as serving as a Distinguished Professor at Spertus Institute in Chicago and faculty member at UC Berkeley, Oakland City University, and the International School of Management in Paris.
“We are thrilled to welcome Seth to the SCI leadership team,” said W. Laird Hamberlin, CEO of Safari Club International. “His blend of legal expertise, nonprofit leadership, and educational excellence is a major asset as we continue to lead the global fight for hunting freedom and wildlife conservation.”
Outside the courtroom and boardroom, Seth is a fundraising expert, an experienced public speaker, and a passionate soccer referee who jokes that he’s been called “a stupid ref” in over ten languages. Seth will be relocating to San Antonio and will remain a proud supporter of Fulham FFC and loyal—if occasionally heartbroken—fan of St. Mary’s of CA basketball and West Virginia football.
Seth’s appointment reflects SCI’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, legal integrity, and proactive advocacy on behalf of hunters around the world.
