Nation's Largest Indoor Gun Range Provides Hands-On Experience for Lawmakers Advancing Sporting-Conservation Policy
Range USA, the nation's largest indoor gun range and firearm retailer, welcomed over 100 state legislators and members of the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation to its Southaven, Mississippi location on December 10th as part of the 22nd Annual NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit taking place in nearby Memphis, Tennessee.
The visit provided attending legislators with a first-hand look at Range USA's facilities and an opportunity to experience the safe, educational environment the company provides to firearm enthusiasts of all skill levels. The legislators were able to get out on the range and shoot multiple firearms from major manufacturers like Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Kimber, and Daniel Defense. The event gave participants a break from their intensive legislative and policy initiative meetings while reinforcing the practical aspects of the sporting heritage they work to advance.
"We were honored to host these dedicated legislators who champion America's hunting, fishing, and shooting sports heritage," said Jimmy McManus, Vice President of Range USA. "By experiencing our facilities firsthand, these lawmakers gain valuable insight into how businesses like ours foster responsible gun ownership, expansion of the shooting sports, and serve as welcoming hubs for our communities."
As a major firearms and ammunition retailer, Range USA plays a significant role in supporting wildlife conservation through the Pittman-Robertson Act. The federal excise taxes collected on firearms, ammunition, and archery equipment sales are distributed to state wildlife agencies for conservation programs, habitat restoration, and hunter education initiatives. Through its 50 locations nationwide, Range USA contributes millions of dollars annually to these critical conservation efforts that directly benefit the sporting heritage these legislators work to protect.
The 22nd Annual NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit, themed "Temperature Rising: Turning Up the Heat Through Proactive Sporting-Conservation Policy Initiatives," is the only national conference dedicated to state legislators focused on advancing America's hunting, fishing, recreational shooting, and trapping heritage. The multi-day event brings together more than 250 participants and 50 speakers to discuss critical policy issues affecting outdoor recreation and conservation.
With 50 locations nationwide and continued expansion plans, Range USA continues to raise the standard for the retail and range experience in the firearms industry.
