Indiana Falls of the Ohio SP hosts Family Fun Fishing Day

Falls of the Ohio State Park is hosting a Family Fun Fishing Day on Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., which is also a DNR Free Fishing Day. On Free Fishing Days, Indiana residents can fish Indiana waters without a license.

The goal of the park’s Family Fun Fishing Day is for families to spend time outside, get introduced to fishing, and learn about water safety. Planned activities include kids casting games, casting challenges, fly-tying, and a fossil hike at 1 p.m. Prizes will be available for some activities.

Visitors will also have a chance to talk to experts about fish identification, tips for fishing at the Falls, water safety, and fishing regulations.

A $2 program fee covers every activity. The park’s interpretive center will have a reduced admission price of $7. Parking at the lot behind the interpretive center is $2.

Falls of the Ohio State Park (on.IN.gov/fallsoftheohio) is at 201 W. Riverside Dr. Clarksville, 47129.
