Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) acknowledges Team Ruger's outstanding year of competition, highlighted by their precision, consistency and award-winning accomplishments.
Leading the way, Team Ruger’s Captain Doug Koenig capped off an exceptional year with five first-place finishes, two second-place finishes and one third-place finish across the competitive season. A key highlight came from the 2025 NRA Action Pistol Championship in New Zealand, where Koenig received a perfect score and secured first place, setting the tone for a strong year overall.
Consistent podium appearances defined Randi Rogers’ season, finishing the year with 14 first-place finishes, four second-place finishes and five third-place finishes. One of the standout moments was at the 2025 SASS End of Trail Wild Bunch Championship in Phoenix, AZ, where Rogers received first-place overall, first-place high lady and first-place in the Wrangler Lady division.
With three second-place finishes, Aaron Martin delivered a well-rounded season marked by excellent performances. One of his accomplishments included finishing in second place in the Open Heavy division and second place overall at the Hunter’s Coalition by Defiance in Clovis, NM. Martin also excelled at the Hornady Precision Hunter Challenge in Price, UT, where he took another second-place win.
A strong mix of consistency and peak performance led Dave Olhasso to 33 first-place wins, 12 second-place finishes and five third-place finishes in 2025. His performance at the Koenig-Ruger US Steel Nationals, held in Mims, FL, stood out, as he secured four first-place wins across multiple divisions.
Building momentum throughout the year, James McGinity delivered an unforgettable season, closing the year with 29 first-place, 13 second-place and two third-place finishes. One of his highlights was at the ICORE New England Regional, in Colonie, NY, where he received first place overall and first place in the Open division.
Additionally, Steve Foster earned three second-place and three third-place finishes this year. A defining moment for Foster was at the 2025 Georgia State Steel Challenge in Blythe, GA, where he secured two second-place finishes and one third-place finish.
Maintaining a competitive edge throughout the year, Gordon Carrell finished the season with three first-place, four second-place and two third-place finishes. Carrell’s strong showing at the USPSA Tennessee Sectional in Puryear, TN, earned him second-place in the production division.
Meanwhile, Lauryl Akenhead demonstrated continued growth throughout the season, earning 15 first-place finishes, three second-place finishes and two third-place finishes. At the Koenig-Ruger Precision Rifle AG Cup held in Palisade, CO, Akenhead earned two first-place finishes in the production division and the High Lady award with her impressive performance.
Rounding out the year, Annie Unsell Berger earned three first-place and three second-place finishes, contributing to the team’s overall success. A key highlight was at the 2025 MN Rimfire Championship in Forest Lake, MN, where she earned first place in the limited division and was named High Lady.
Beyond competition results, Team Ruger’s Trevor Baucom continued to make a meaningful impact on competitive shooting through leadership and community building. Baucom is the founder of the Adaptive Defensive Shooting Summit (ADSS), an accessible shooting event for people with disabilities of any skill level and knowledge of firearms. ADSS is an extraordinary summit that offers both training with world-class instructors and IDPA-style pistol competition.
