Job Overview:

Coonhound Sales and Marketing is a leader in the Outdoor Sporting Goods industry and is constantly evolving to meet the needs of their clients. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion and understanding of the outdoors that can become an effective member of an already highly functional team. This position will be an entry level position, with the opportunity to grow with our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, overcoming customer problems should they arise and achieving sales goals. They will need to possess a strong will to learn and keep up with the ever-changing world of outdoor sporting goods.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience in sales.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service and building productive business professional relationships
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Ability to communicate in French is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful applicant will be required to provide a criminal background check

Responsibilities:

  • Constantly seek new opportunities and work with team members to build relationships with current and new clients.
  • Analyze the territory/ market potential, track sales and status reports
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients and answering questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Understanding and promoting company programs.
  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Maintaining client records.
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • All other duties as assigned

Expected start date: 2021-11-01

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: negotiable based on experience plus bonus opportunity
