The Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF)'s 2019 sportsmen's policy issues briefs are now available online.

Each year, CSF's policy team compiles a series of issue briefs that cover a wide range of policy issues affecting the sportsmen's conservation community. The 2019 collection includes 76 individual state issue briefs and 14 federal issue briefs that provide background on legislative, regulatory, and other policy updates of interest to hunters, anglers, recreational shooters, and trappers throughout the country.

Some highlights from the federal level include:

• Chronic Wasting Disease
• Making Public Lands Public Initiative
• Recovering America's Wildlife Act
• Red Snapper Management in the Gulf of Mexico

A few key state-level priority policies include:

• Hunter and Angler Recruitment, Retention and Reactivation (R3)
• Conservation Funding
• Sunday Hunting Restrictions
• Apprentice Hunting Licenses
• Seniors, Veterans, and Active Duty Military Hunting and Angling Privileges
• Active Forest Management
• Right to Hunt, Fish, and Harvest Wildlife

The information contained in these briefs is developed in partnership with a variety of sources including partner conservation organizations, federal and state fish and wildlife/land management agencies, and other policy experts. The National Assembly of Sportsmen's CaucusesExecutive Council - a bipartisan advisory group of state legislators that represent legislative sportsmen's caucuses from across the country - brought forward their challenges, successes, and new ideas, which CSF incorporated into our policy briefs as well.
