Leupold Shooter Morgan King Wins NRL Season Championship Match, 2021-2022 Season Title

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce that Pro Shooter Morgun King won the National Rifle League’s Championship Match, held April 23-24 at the Cameo Shooting & Education Complex in Grand Junction, Col. In doing so, King secured his second consecutive NRL Season Title.

The Cameo Shooting & Education Complex enabled NRL to design a course of fire that utilized natural terrain to some of the world’s best competition shooters over 18 stages across two days. Shots ranged from 400-1,200 yards.

The win caps off a dominant year for King, whose name is routinely featured on NRL leaderboards. As always, his competition rifle was topped with a Leupold Mark 5HD.

“My rifle and my scope have been through a lot over the past two years,” King said. “They’ve rattled around in trucks going down dirt roads, they’ve gotten tossed around by baggage handlers, they’ve been out in the elements, and they’ve been slammed into rocks and barricades in competition. In that time my Mark 5HD has always held zero, always responded when I’ve dialed it up, and always delivered the crisp, clear image I need to compete. I can’t think of a better testament to the clarity, reliability, and ruggedness of that scope than its continued performance after what I put it through match after match, year after year.”

The Mark 5HD has been crafted to redefine accuracy, precision, and optical performance for long-range shooters. Pick one up and you’ll feel the difference: it’s up to 20 ounces lighter than other scopes in its class. Get behind one and you’ll see the difference, from its superior edge-to-edge clarity to its extreme low-light performance. With three revolutions of elevation adjustment, the Mark 5HD was made to max out the performance of the latest long-range rifles and ammunition. It features Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System, which offers unmatched light transmission that’s designed to outperform in the most challenging lighting conditions, industry-leading glare reduction for a clear image in harsh, direct light, and the resolution and clarity that professional guides and shooters demand in the field.

King’s Mark 5HD features Leupold’s game-changing PR2-MIL reticle. Developed with input from the country’s top competitors and professional shooters, the PR2 reticles are specifically designed for long range speed and precision. Two styles are available: the PR2-MIL and the PR2-MOA. They are available in Leupold’s Mark 5HD line, in both a 5-25x and 7-35x configuration. Designed to excel in competition, the PR2-MIL reticle puts the best possible long-range competition reticle in the best long-range competition riflescope on the market.

“The PR2-MIL reticle provides an incredible advantage when you’re trying to hit small targets at extended ranges,” said John Snodgrass, Tactical Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “We designed it to be open, simple, and fast–which is exactly what competitors like Morgun asked for. His continued success is a testament to just what the PR2-MIL reticle is capable of.”
