Bidding will close July 29 in an online auction of Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation surplus vehicles and equipment. Potential bidders can view and bid on auction items at purplewave.com/auction/250729.
The department periodically auctions surplus vehicles and equipment to the public. In addition to pickups, bidders will find boat motors, vehicle parts, a boat, electronics and more.
"Vehicles are always a popular item among buyers. These vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance from the time we purchase them new to when we sell them," said Daniel Griffith, property manager for the department.
"The sale of these items helps bring back funds into the department to help purchase new vehicles and equipment, or to fund projects. Those who purchase these items directly help fund the wildlife department and its activities to conserve fish and wildlife."
Bidding is open now, and bidders must register with the online auction site before bidding. A 10% buyer's premium will be added to all winning bids to arrive at the final price. The vehicles located at Oklahoma City headquarters will be available for inspection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 28, at 1801 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105.
