Watch DU’s newest online film: “Mighty Mo”

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Ducks Unlimited released the latest film in its online series. In Mighty Mo, old friends convene on the Missouri River in North Dakota. These men gather together every year after Thanksgiving from around the country to hunt ducks and geese.

Watch the film at www.ducks.org/dufilms.

Longtime DU volunteer Steve McQueen began hunting with his father.

“The first time I went waterfowl hunting I was about ten years old,” Steve said. “We went up to a big conservation area called Oakwood Bottoms. There were mallards in there like crazy. I’ll never forget those ducks popping through the tree tops, I was hooked.”

Steve enjoys North Dakota and the great duck and goose hunting found there, especially the Missouri River area 15 miles north of Bismarck. Steve began hunting there six years ago after hearing about the waterfowl numbers and lack of hunting pressure. He liked it so much he invited his friends.

Keith Osbourne hunts with the group every year.

“I don’t know how to describe it,” Keith said. “You can set up in the middle of the river and the ducks and geese just fall in. You have to come and experience it.”

Ducks Unlimited conserves and restores wetlands. The habitat created and maintained benefits people and wildlife. Not every DU supporter is a hunter, but the majority are and their love for waterfowling fuels their conservation desire. Steve McQueen and his friends exemplify this dedication to their sport and to ensuring the next generation will enjoy it as well.

DU Films is a unique online film series from Ducks Unlimited, the world leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation.
