Scholastic 3-D Archery Names Holley Pace as Louisiana State Coordinator

Williamsburg, KY – Scholastic 3-D Archery is pleased to announce Holley Pace as the new Louisiana S3DA State Coordinator. Holley will oversee all aspects of the S3DA program in Louisiana, including promoting the program across the state to gain team and individual memberships, providing training for new coaches, dividing the state into regions, and placing regional coordinators to oversee and manage those individual regions. Holley decided to join the S3DA program because of her desire to continue growing the sport. She wants to show the youth that archery can take them places, just like other sports, including the opportunity to receive college scholarships.

Holley was born and raised in Hamilton, Mississippi, and moved to Augusta, Georgia to attend college at Augusta State University. She graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in Health/Physical Education. She began teaching upon graduation and ended up staying in Augusta for ten years. In 2017, she moved to Pineville, Louisiana, where she currently resides and teaches as a Health/PE teacher at Tioga Junior High School.

Holley said, “I fell in love with archery through the Archery Shooters Association (ASA) circuit. I am actively involved with NASP, S3DA, and ASA. As a teacher, I strive to reach out to students to help them reach their highest level of academic success. I take that same approach as an archery coach by doing my best to educate students about the sport of archery and provide them proper training to hopefully guide them into a lifetime of participation in the sport.”

Holley enjoys reading, playing cards or board games, coaching, and shooting archery. We asked what she loved most about Louisiana, and she said she couldn’t narrow it down to one thing but her favorite things were a unique culture, diverse outdoors, and of course the food!

Holley looks to increase the number of coaches, teams, and students actively involved in the Louisiana S3DA program. She is going to start by creating conversations at ASA archery events. The goal is to get those already involved in the sport to focus on training and guiding the next generation.

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

S3DA youth participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting.
