2018 Outdoor News Print of the Year Features Artwork by Scot Storm

Plymouth, Minn. — With 22 federal, state, and conservation stamp wins to his name, Minnesota-based Scot Storm’s art clearly contains fine details that breathe life into every image and draw the viewer into the wildlife scenes he creates. Through the celebrated Outdoor News Print of the Year series, Storm’s latest artistry captures an image that fills the dreams of every white-tailed deer hunter. Titled “Scrape Line Monarch,” the scene depicts a regal buck trailing two does in a quintessential late autumn setting.

Storm’s 2018 painting marks the second time his artwork has been featured through the Outdoor News Print of the Year program, where consumers can purchase a limited number of signed and numbered prints from nationally recognized artists at affordable prices. His prior work featured a pack of wolves in the deep of winter – titled “On Track” – a popular choice for Outdoor News subscribers in 2012. Other artists showcased in the Outdoor News series include all three of the award-winning Hautman Brothers: James, Joe and Robert Hautman, as well as work by Michael Sieve and Ron Nelson.

“Because the annual series is both numbered and of a limited nature, consumers often will pre-order the same number of series each year to build out their collection of wildlife art,” said Phil Frebault, sales and marketing director for Outdoor News.

The 2018 print is available in either an acid-free paper format, or as a ready-to-frame high-quality giclee canvas. A selection of prior year prints are also available for purchase through Outdoor News, including wildlife subjects ranging from game and fish, to upland birds, moose, wood ducks, and bears. These prints make an exceptional gift for business clients, and are a classic northwoods addition to any office, den or man-cave.
