Pennsylvania: Faerie Gathering returns to Paynetown SRA

Monroe Lake invites imaginative crafters of all ages to its Faerie Gathering at Paynetown State Recreation Area, 4850 S. State Road 446 in Bloomington, on Saturday, June 22.

The event kicks off with a woodland faerie scavenger hunt at 10:30 a.m. The scavenger hunt meets in front of the overflow parking area.

From 1 to 3 p.m., there is a drop-in faerie crafting circle at the activity center featuring six different faerie-themed crafts for people to make, while supplies last.

A clay pot faerie house workshop is at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $3 per participant. A faerie door workshop is at 8 p.m. Cost for the faerie door workshop is $4 per participant. Both workshops are limited to 10 participants.

Reserve your spot for the two workshops inside the activity center between 1 and 5 p.m. Any remaining openings will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis at the workshops. Cash or check only.

The daily fee to enter Paynetown SRA is $7 per vehicle with Indiana plates, $9 per vehicle with out-of-state plates. Indiana State Park annual entrance permits are also accepted.
