Hamburg, PA. - Doug Koenig’s Championship Season, now in its eighth year on Pursuit Channel follows Doug at the 40th NRA Bianchi Cup hosted at the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Missouri. As the camera zooms in to show each of Doug’s shot placements, it’s all about the X-Factor on The Barricade, The Practical, The Falling Plate and The Moving Target events.
The Bianchi Cup is revered as the Super Bowl of competition shooting and considered to be the most difficult action pistol handgun match. Koenig said, “I’ve been shooting this match since 1987 and while it can be nerve wracking because every shot counts, it still remains one of my all-time favorite matches.”
Then on deck, Doug introduces and demonstrates a new falling plate system called the X-Ring Plate Rack, manufactured by Custom Metal Products. The unique target design has a built in element of challenge in order for competitors to achieve the maximum X-count.
