Arizona Game and Fish to host game management meeting April 9 at Chasin' A Dream Archery

MESA, Ariz. — The Arizona Game and Fish Department will be hosting a public meeting Tuesday, April 9, to discuss game management objectives in the Tonto National Forest, including areas near Payson, Globe and the Mogollon Rim. The current hunt recommendations also will be discussed.

A terrestrial wildlife biologist from the department’s regional office in Mesa and local wildlife managers will be available to answer questions from 6-7:30 p.m. at Chasin’ A Dream Archery, 612 S. Beeline Highway, in Payson. No formal presentation is planned.

“This is a great opportunity for the public to ask questions or provide comments on the department’s management directions and decisions for game species in the area,” said Dustin Darveau, terrestrial wildlife specialist. “The public’s involvement in the hunt recommendations and hunt guidelines processes is appreciated, and the department encourages everyone to attend this informal meeting to learn about the science of wildlife management.”
